Pricing questions
What is the difference between block hours and fully managed?
Block hours is a monthly retainer — you pre-purchase 5 or 10 hours of managed IT support per month at a discounted rate. We handle the same work (patching, monitoring, helpdesk, troubleshooting) but only up to the hours in your block. Additional issues beyond your block are still handled, just billed at a discounted hourly rate. Fully managed (AYCE) is unlimited — flat monthly fee, no hour tracking, no overage. If you consistently exceed your block hours, switching to fully managed typically saves money.
Do you charge separately for servers, firewalls, and infrastructure?
Yes. Servers, firewalls, switches, and key infrastructure are quoted with their own flat monthly rates so the per-workstation price stays predictable. You will see all of it in your written quote — no buried line items.
What is not included in flat-rate?
Hardware purchases, software license costs, project work (server replacement, office relocation, M365 tenant migration, structured cabling), after-hours emergency work outside the managed scope, and on-site time beyond what your tier includes.
How long is the contract?
12 months standard with a <a href="/sla/">30-day out clause</a>. We do not lock clients in. See our published SLA for the full guarantee.
Can I start with block hours and upgrade to fully managed later?
Yes — that is the natural path. Many clients start with a 10-hour block to test the relationship and move to fully managed within 3-6 months once they see the value. We will tell you when the math favors the switch.
Do unused block hours roll over?
No. Block hours reset monthly. This keeps the retainer predictable for both sides and prevents "banked hours" accounting complexity. If you are consistently under-using your block, we will recommend dropping to the smaller tier or adjusting scope.
What does the security stack include without managed IT?
The security-only plans deploy enterprise-grade tooling on your endpoints — SentinelOne EDR, antivirus, RMM monitoring, DNS filtering, and optional SOC monitoring — without helpdesk or hands-on management.
