Cloud, without the consulting-firm markup

We are an authorized Microsoft CSP partner and AWS Partner, with Azure-trained engineers on staff — including a Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Azure Security Engineer — and we deploy and manage workloads on Google Cloud too. Which sounds like marketing copy, but for you it means we are trained and incentivized to do the migration right rather than the migration that sells the most hours.

What we migrate

Email and collaboration to Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. File shares to SharePoint, OneDrive, or Google Drive with proper permissions and retention. Line-of-business apps to Azure VMs, App Services, or AWS EC2 / RDS where appropriate. Identity to Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) with conditional access and Zero Trust policies. SQL servers, Exchange on-prem, and legacy ERP systems are common migrations.

Microsoft 365 vs Google Workspace, and moving between them

Most of the moves we run are on-prem Exchange or an old hosted POP/IMAP setup into Microsoft 365, or a cross-platform jump in either direction between M365 and Google Workspace. The decision between the two platforms usually comes down to what your team already lives in. If your people work in Word, Excel, and Outlook all day and you have line-of-business apps that expect Active Directory, M365 is the lower-friction path. If your staff are already comfortable in Gmail, Docs, and a browser, Workspace can be a cleaner fit and a simpler admin surface. We’ll tell you straight which one fits — we’re not paid to force everyone onto the same platform.

Zero mail loss is the whole job

A migration that loses email, breaks calendar invites, or drops a shared mailbox isn’t a migration — it’s an incident. Our method is built to avoid exactly that. We start with discovery: mailbox sizes, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, public folders, calendar delegations, and the forwarding rules nobody documented. We pre-stage the destination tenant and run mailbox data across in waves while the old system keeps receiving mail, so nothing is in flight during the move. Coexistence keeps both sides delivering until we’re ready. Cutover is the MX record flip, scheduled off-hours, with a verification pass before anyone logs in Monday. We reconcile item counts source-to-destination so “it looks done” is backed by numbers, and we don’t decommission the old environment until you’ve confirmed nothing is missing. The full play-by-play is in our M365 migration guide.

Identity, conditional access, and the collaboration buildout

Identity moves to Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and that’s where we set conditional access — per-sign-in rules that weigh user, device, and location to allow, block, or require an additional MFA challenge, plus switching off the legacy auth protocols that bypass it entirely. On the collaboration side, a tenant out of the box is not a finished workspace. We build SharePoint document libraries with a permission structure that maps to how your teams actually work, stand up Teams with the right channels and external-sharing guardrails, and set retention so files aren’t kept forever by accident or deleted before you’re allowed to delete them.

On-prem file server to the cloud, with permissions intact

The part of a file-server migration that goes wrong is permissions. Years of NTFS access — nested security groups, one-off shares, the folder only Linda can see — has to land in SharePoint or OneDrive without quietly opening private data to the whole company or locking people out of files they need Monday morning. We audit the existing share and group structure first, map it to cloud permissions deliberately rather than letting a bulk tool guess, preserve folder structure and version history where it matters, and validate access with real user accounts before the old server goes read-only. Done right, your team notices a faster, anywhere-access drive and nothing else.

Ongoing AWS and Azure infrastructure management

Migrating is the start; running it well is the recurring work. For clients with workloads on Azure or AWS we handle patching and OS maintenance, monitoring and alerting, identity and access governance, and the network and firewall layer — the same operational discipline as an on-prem server room, applied to cloud infrastructure. We make a point of keeping cloud and backup separate concerns: a healthy Azure VM is not a backup, so production workloads get their own protected, off-site recovery copies as described on our backup and disaster recovery page. If you already have an in-house IT person or team, we don’t have to take the whole thing over — our co-managed IT model lets us own the cloud and identity layer while your staff keep the day-to-day, with a clear line on who handles what.

Cost optimization audits

If you already run on Azure or AWS and feel the bill is bigger than it should be, our cost optimization audit is fixed-fee and typically finds 15–30% in immediate savings — right-sizing, reserved instances, deleting orphaned resources, and tagging for accountability.

We are an authorized Microsoft CSP partner and AWS Partner with hands-on Google Cloud experience, and back every engagement with a published SLA.

FAQ

Cloud Services — questions we get

How long does an M365 migration take?

A 25-user migration is typically 3–4 weeks end-to-end: discovery, tenant setup, mailbox migration in waves, cutover, post-cutover support. Larger or more complex environments scale linearly.

What does it cost to migrate?

Migration is project-priced based on user count, mailbox sizes, public folders, and integrations. Typical 25-user M365 migration projects fall between $4,500 and $9,000.

Do you support hybrid environments?

Yes. We commonly run Microsoft 365 + on-prem Active Directory + Azure hybrid setups, especially for healthcare and law firms with on-prem document management.
